It's a very mushy book. Sometimes people actually like it. biggrin.gif

I've read that book!
It was actually required to be read when we were sophies in hs.
That book made me cry- because it was really sad!
Or maybe it's just that I'm so emotional and all.
Nevertheless, it's a veery good book. I learned lessons about life.

This is included in my books that made a great impact in my life. Included in this list: The Alchemist, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, etc...

The book's really good. It's like The Alchemist- it gives a lot of universal truths and lessons in life.

It's a good book. The one thing that makes the book great is that it's not fiction. It really came from a man full of wisdom.

It's mushy because what he was saying was true. And sometimes the mushy things that a person says roots from honesty... from the heart.

And in this book I learned one thing that I proudly apply to my life right now and that is how to "detach".

In fairness, maganda talaga sya.
The book was written from the heart.
Real, raw and unmasked.
Feeling ko nga, kaharap ko ang author.

Kahit malungkot,it's worth reading talaga smile.gif

I read Tuesdays with Morrie under strange and memorable circumstances.

I was in New York two summers ago, and by the end of my stay, I was quite homesick, so silly me, I went to JFK airport and checked in 4 hours before my flight schedule.

While in the lounge, I decided to go through some of the books I had bought during my stay. I heard about Tuesdays with Morrie by then from Dr. Angeles. But I had no expectations.

I opened it. And I couldn't close the book or put it down. For an hour or two, I was sitting alone in the lounge, oblivious of all the people around me.

Every now and then, I would shed a tear. By the time I finished, I was really crying rather unrepentantly. Thank God I always carry a towel.

After I had finished. I realized I was in public. I put the book away and looked around at all the people who pretended not to notice anything amiss.

I just sat back, and smiled, as if I knew some secret of the universe they were totally clueless about.

And maybe, just maybe, I did.

That's great. All (and I MEAN ALL) the people I have recommended te book to all have positive comments about the book. They say it's such a good book... They say it's one of a kind! smile.gif

Little Prince din nga pala is part of the list that I made which imparted a very significant lesson to me.

The movie sucks! Big time! It lacked the profoundness of the book.
NaningBelles

i haven't seen the movie yet.
but i'm looking forward to it.
sana maganda.
pero ganun naman dba?
kapag based sa libro,
minsan pumapangit,
minsan gumaganda.
gaya ng harry potter at lord of the rings.

sana maganda

may isang sinabi si Morrie dun sa book na nag-register sa kin at talagang naalala ko pa until now, when he asked the people cheering for their team to win:
What's wrong with second place?
nag-iba yung pananaw ko about competing, winning and losing...
