hindi maiinit sa gabi... wink.gif

seriously though. it is far more relaxing at night. things seem so peaceful and quiet (unless may nagbabarilan sa kanto...) on top of that... ewan... it's soothing for me to just indulge in the night. wink.gif

Hey, this is a nice time to be star-gazing! After the sun sets, look to the western sky, and find the stars that don't twinkle. Those are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. biggrin.gif

Ah, yes, the night. Let's speak of the night, mortal children. You see...the night is something strange and exotic to those of us who has been damned and condemed into a life of thirst and immortality.

Let me tell you a secret. I am a vampire.

Dimly, I recall my last sunrise. How beautiful it was to me. How the colors swirled and touched everything under it and ah, how I remember completely the bastard monster who followed the night after. It was he who turned me into one of them. I never had a choice, you see. Do I sound bitter?

Enough of my mindless prattle. I have said too much. Numerous coven of vampires will be aggitated by my audacity to speak such words. No doubt they will hound me tonight in my little house. ANd yes, how my coffin doth stay beneath the floorboards, lest the villagers learn my terrible secret and come at the gates with torches.

And if you hear of a few comrades of mine, speak no tales. Louis and Lestat and that irrepresible Armand...No,I dare no speak my real name here. This is not the place to harbor enemies. Farewell...

(Sorry, wala na akong magawa. And I had a little too much of that Inerview with th Vampire movie last night. smile.gif )

hello dir! r u from manila? is the sky still "that clear" at night? i'm from the province and i love "summernights"... yup it's the perfect time for stargazing here... kasi it's "very clear at night"... alang bagyo, ulan, etc.,etc.

Yeahp, born in Manila, raised in Quezon City.

Stargazing in the city is dependent on three things:
a) prevailing weather conditions
cool.gif amount of air pollution
c) intensity of artificial light

a. Obviously you won't see stars if the night is thick with clouds. Besides, we can't control the weather (...yet) so this applies wherever you want to stargaze.

b. A demonstration: even if it's a clear night, no clouds, and you're far from the streetlights, but you're in the middle of, say, Makati and the night is humid, you can barely see except the brightest stars. Smog really kills stargazing.

c. Another beautiful thing about the province is that it isn't choked with streetlights - you can see even the faintest stars. Not so in the city, except in isolated areas that satisfy conditions b and c on a night that satisfies condition a. Like the ADMU campus at night. Or my village at night. No smog here in Katipunan. biggrin.gif

i think i'm all perk up at night than during the day... i dunno why.

there's something in the night that lifts my spirit and makes me wide awake...

maybe it's the "quiteness" and the "serenity" that one can never experience during the day, when people are awake...

it's like you own the world and that peace is juz within your grasp.

btw, when there are a lot of stars, i spend most of my time lying on our roof...glancing at the sky. that was one of the nicest feeling one could ever imagine.

I'm really more of a night person... The mind and heart are sharper at night in my case... If you're ever out hiking and camping in the mountains, that's the best place to stargaze...

Oh yes, i do love staring at the stars and at the sky at night. Especially when I have problems or when I really feel depressed and feel like crying? I go outside, to a place where no one could see me and just sit there..staring at the sky. Somehow, it soothes my senses. And when I see those stars..the moon? It makes me smile. Bcos it makes me realize that the world ain't too bad at all. Looking at those stars is like looking through the eyes of God.

I love stargazing, it somehow revitalizes my mind when I'm too drained. Mas narerelax ako, especially when i had a bad day. There's just something about the heavens that gives me the peace of mind I've been wanting.. smile.gif
