hello guys, for the upperclassmen, just to help us choose the subjects we'll take
what are the pe subjects you took? who's your instructor? what experiences did you have in the subject?
also, about NSTP, anong ginagawa dito? details? experiences?
suggestions on how to do these subjects?

well, for PE i don't recommend the 7:00 - 8:00 sessions, nakakatamad. Make sure you pick out a PE with a break before and after, hassle na if you have to run to get to your PE class and going to your next class without freshening up/taking a shower isn't really nice.
I'd recommend wushu - easy to learn, hindi ganun ka demanding and super fun if you get the right groupmates and partner + mabait si Ma'am Alma...
Yung arnis naman - demanding pero very easy to get along si Sir giallogo tsaka super galing nya. Just expect sore hands with blisters for the first few sessions.
Basketball - kung men's it's a real game... kung women's it's the basics
Table tennis - kailangan may conviction... Eto ata yung PE na pinakarami nag drodrop out.
yung NSTP depende what you want to do, may ROTC, teaching at mga area trips.

Anong uniform sa wushu?

May 15 2008, 09:48 AM
Wow... wushu. Would that be the actual martial art or would it be the presentation/exhibition type?

I wanna learn!
frosthounder
May 15 2008, 01:28 PM
walang uniform ang wushu, just jogging pants and shirt. Hmn, well yung class thats offered teaches cudgel style forms. Usually you'll be working with your partner and defending against each other. Of course hindi talaga 100% yung actual martial art... this is just PE after all.

eh yung basketball, anung uniform?
kailangan ba naming magprovide ng sarili namin? or may available na?
frosthounder
May 15 2008, 06:34 PM
basketball shorts and a shirt or jersey... There is an official jersey but you don't have to use it sa classes. Sa finals (which is tournament style) you'd need to wear it.

kung mayroon isang sport na talagang gusto mo, then yun yung piliin mo. 8-9 m-w yung badminton ko nung second year ako, pero since like ko yung sport, natagalan ko.
nstp niyo, sa second year niyo pa yun (kahit nakasulat na sa first year niyo itetake.). still a long while for you guys to get there

@frosthound:
Table Tennis yung pinakalast ko na PE... kaso sobrang busy ko na by that time, kaya halos sobrang pinapatalo ko na lahat ng matches ko para lang matapos ng maaga at makagawa ng other acads. haha. maraming nga bang nagdodrop sa table tennis? haha no effort ako dun pero naka B+ pa ako

I'm a girl and I took weight lifting for a sem. It's okay, actually, kasi may partner ka naman para tumulong as spotter. Haha. And I swear, I really worked out then. After that, I could hardly do as much sit-ups the way I used to during class. Para na ngang nag-gym ka e! And I got an A!:)
