how do you know that you are normal or abnormal? lagi bang batayan ang pananaw ng ibang tao kaysa sa batayan ng pagkatao mo? insights please.

If the DSM-IV of Abnormal Psychology classifies you among its list of disorders and this is verified by a psychologist/psychiatrist, then you're abnormal. biggrin.gif
BLUEness
but what if the psychiatrist is also abnormal? biggrin.gif

is there really such a thing as normal and abnormal? if there is, then the entire universe is ruled by standards.

do you believe in standards? rather, do you believe that there should be standards at all times?

i agree. people say someone is NORMAL if he/she acts like everyone else. but whoever said that it's the majority that's normal? is there really a basis to say whether one is in fact normal or abnormal?

If we go by 'standards', then your problem is solved. We are all normal and abnormal. Given that when it comes to human behavior people have different notions of what the standard is, one can easily fall under one's 'abnormal category' and another's 'normal category'. Person A might think I'm normal and yet Person B might think otherwise.

Unless there is one universal standard (which is highly unlikely since we are all created unique and thus not subject to the concept of standards), then maybe, just MAYBE, we can tell if we are in fact normal or abnormal.

Right.

I don't believe that if something's conventional eh tama na.

Parang our society is rude to those people who acts the unconventional way.
