So any news on what various career tracks Philo. graduates have taken? Did everyone end up in law school? It would be interesting to find out.

AB Philo '98 here. Taught for 2 years at UP Baguio, then got hired as an HR and Organizational Development Consultant at Amkor Tech (one of the world's largest microchip casement companies -- at least befor the tech crash) and am now working for Bristol Myers Squibb-MJ as Continuing Medical Education Manager.

A lot of my batchmates did go to law about half and the rest went into teaching, a few went to advertising and media and one went to med school.

Philo people get good jobs as long as they get the right after college training and exposure. Was also very lucky that teaching at the UP helped me imrpove my research and interdisciplinary skills.

Carly Fiorina, the President of Hewlett-Packard Corporation, is a philosophy graduate. Not from Ateneo though.

There are many who excel in law, MBA, business and politics who are philosopy majors. Philosophy trains one to think on his/her feet, see the different angles on issues, communicate clearly and effectively to arrive at logical conclusions.

Philosophy offers excellent training in analysis and its reverse form, synthesis.
