Letran is on its way to be a university. They could have done this earlier but for some reason are targetting 2010 in time for their 400th year of existence (established 1610). They are on a massive infrastructure build-up in Calamba and Bataan after UST has decided not to branch out themselves.
I doubt Letran will join UAAP because of the conflict of interest cited above. The Dominicans would like to have champion teams in both leagues. May marketing impact pag ganun.
I also doubt San Beda will leave the NCAA as it is the only founding member left.
Besides transferring to the UAAP is not that easy. It took La Salle several attempts before they were allowed to join the league. Binara kasi natin at ng UST "daw".
Indeed it would be nice to see the four ex- "exclusive boys schools" together again, of course sans the "rumble". With girls abounding in these institutions, na tame na din yung apat, he he he. Kaso dumani ata and third kind....
