What do you think will happen next? Will the court verdict possibly press on the destabilization of the RP-US partnership?

i think we all should feel that way. why? because we are aware of their "assistance" and we are not denying the fact that they are "helping" us. Hindi naman tayo mga walang utang na loob 'no!

At saka why do they go through such trouble for someone whose been proven by our local court as guilty. Yes, I do understand that he can file for an appeal and can turn out to be innocent but what they're doing is not for the good of our country and theirs. if they are afraid to be tagged as weak and that the philippines got away by not doing what we have agreed upon, they shouldn't. Why, because Smith was already convicted and if they feel that Smith is innocent then they should wait for the court of appeals to say so. They said they are "helping" the Philippines. Are they really? If they're really "helping" us they shouldn't be doing things like what they're doing for Smith. I understand where Sec. Gonzales is coming from but our government should also look at it in a different angle dahil by doing what the US wants, our government will look pathetic and weak not just to the international community but to us filipinos as well. And eventaully other countries will not respect our country and its citizens dahil iisipin nila our government doesn't even stand up for us and respect our rights, so why should they? Which is why our government should stand firm on this issue.

Panagalawa, the american people will feel invincible, that they are above everybody else and that they can do anything in other countries (like where is the equality that they are promoting). so paano na lang ang mga developing countries na "tinutulungan" nila gaya nga Pilipinas?
