Fourth Installment Of The Critically Acclaimed Series To Premiere May 29 With A Special 90-Minute Episode
Reality Series Moves To A New Time Period – Thursdays At 8:00 PM
CBS today announced the identities of the 12 couples set to compete in THE AMAZING RACE 4. The critically acclaimed adventure series pits teams against one another in a race around the world for a $1 million prize. The series will have a special 90-minute premiere episode on Thursday, May 29 (8:00- 9:30 PM, ET/PT).

THE AMAZING RACE 4 will send 12 teams -- each comprised of two people who have a pre-existing relationship with one another -- on a trek around the world for approximately 30 days. At every destination, each couple will have to compete in a series of challenges -- some mental and some physical -- and only when the tasks have been completed will they learn their next destination. Couples who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.
Jerry Bruckheimer and Bertram van Munster (who co-created the series along with Elise Doganieri) are the executive producers for Bruckheimer Films and Earthview Inc. in association with Touchstone Television and Amazing Race Productions. Hayma Screech Washington and Jon Kroll are co-executive producers.
