After the conclusion of the holiday season, it's about time to get this show on the road.
The 14 Beers Project shall reconvene at the soonest possible convenience of the original cast of characters. According to Ghostrider, a friend of his has agreed to sponsor the gathering at his establishment; so, venue this time will not be a problem. All we need to do is set a date for it.
As usual, this gathering is for after-dinner beers. 5FootCarrot has written that she will not be available on the 18th and 19th of this month while Upper Box has signified his preference for the 25th of January. Is the 25th acceptable to the 14 Beers regulars? Any other date preferences?
Will appreciate a reply from the 14 Beers regulars on this thread so that the proper arrangements can be made.
Of course, this gathering is not limited only to the regulars of the 14 Beers Project. We welcome like-minded individuals to join the 14 Beers Project. If you are so disposed, kindly indicate your interest on this thread (no PMs please). However, please note that due to space constraints at the venue (as well as concerns regarding internet security), an invitation may not be extended to all those interested.
Ghostrider, BleachersKing, let's get cracking!
Thanks.

Barring unforetold transportation deficiencies and unexpected plans for dinner at grandma's, the 25th is good
Is the new venue located in the same area as the old?

The 25th sounds good!

I'm okay for the 25th! hopefully, we can get a venue within the katipunan area unless you want somewhere along taft avenue. then maybe for kicks, we can burn down that school along taft.

BK,
Hmmmm, I don't think I hate PWU enough to want to burn down their building. Hehehe

Anyway, venue will be in a great place, right Ghostrider. Sonic death monkey will PM you guys on the details (I think).
Carrot,
Don't worry about transpo, we will work something out, if necessary. And, regarding your grandma...bring her along!

am ok on the 25th.
Mav, what does Sonic Death Monkey want from you this time? Wesley's autographed shorts?
Ghostrider
Jan 13 2003, 04:05 AM
The 25th is ok for me too.
However, just consulted with my friend and his place is booked on the 25th.
So, if we push through with part II, it has to be in another venue.
Any suggestions?

PG, since your "girl's night out" is somewhere in Manila, suggest mo na lang somewhere in Malate this time... Unless the majority would wanna have the venue somewhere in QC talaga. So all, which is the best place sa inyo???... Manila, Ortigas, or QC?

Hey miss d... tara, gawa tayo ng pirated copies nung DVD para may pampa-raffle...

I hope United States Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Market Access and Compliance William Lash III and Bong Revilla aren't reading this thread...

Hey, I still have leftover paputok from the new year celebration. Got a couple of kwitons, kabase, lolo thunders, whistle bombs, and some empty bottles of JC Tequila and Ginebra + kerosene... Hope those help... And let's make sure those Fil-Chinese Volunteers and Manila's Finest Firefighters won't do anything about it... It has always been my dream to throw something flammable into that school along Taft... It's a nice place for a "Mendiola II" and another "Bonefire Celebration II".

QC is fine. I think Malate is quite far from where most of the regulars are coming from. Habol nalang po ako. Coffee-and-chismisan session lang naman yung gimik namin di ba so pwede sumibat.
miss d
Jan 13 2003, 07:52 PM
Malate might be too far for most people. I think we'll have better attendance if we hold it in QC.
Pirated huh? LOL! Magagalit si William Lash, lagot si Bong Revilla

Looking forward to seeing you all again. And of course to meeting all the newcomers

Hello miss d...
Why not ipa-raffle mo na lang yung "It's Our Time" plus the other one... "Memories
From a Season of Grace". Any other merchandise from the A-Shop na pwede ipa-raffle?
BTW, anyone here got a copy of the DVDs na? I haven't... Pakopya na lang para may mapa-raffle ako sa next 14 BP...
miss d
Jan 13 2003, 09:15 PM
That's my plan. So far, I have a couple of calendars, and a copy of the Memories book. Try ko pa yung It's Our Time.

Hi guys! I'll coordinate with Ghostrider as regards the venue. Hopefully, we can have it in a place to where most of the 14 Beers regulars can easily go. This probably means the QC area so we can say goodbye to a Malate/Taft Avenue venue. Will keep you guys posted.
Kidd, for her services, sonic death monkey (a.k.a., party organizer extraordinaire) is asking for a copy of the "It's Our Time" book signed by the Great Wesley. Yes, she is now officially a fangurl (like PizzaGuy).
miss d, thanks for the raffle items. Do you think we can rig the raffle so I can finally get my hands on some freebies? (By the way, I do want to order some of the Ateneo championship books from you so I guess you really will look like a tindera at 14BPII -- just like a certain VCD magnate at 14BPI.)
PizzaGurl, why don't you just bring your "friends" over to the 14BPII. Am sure the "boys" won't mind.

Mav, the VCD magnate has used up all his earnings during the holidays. Tsktsk!

Anyways, I don't think my girl friends would wanna join us. They're not avid followers of the game and worse, they're from the other side.

I just hope we're not having the 14BPII somewhere in Antipolo or some far-off places para naman makahabol ako. I'd love to go home with a freebie again. Hehehe!
5FootCarrot
Jan 14 2003, 05:13 PM
I was just kidding about Antipolo. QC is fine, preferably someplace accessible (i.e., easy to drive to and find!).
Don't worry about looking like tinderas/tinderos, friends. Let's just say that the 14BP is doing its part toward supporting SMEs

Maybe we can just have it back at the old place, that wasn't so bad, buenas pa sa akin at nanalo ako sa raffle.

I'll probably be going solo this time because janescoundrel is off in Clark for night flying and advanced navigation lessons. Ok daw sa kanyang mag-high speed pass sa venue as her participation.

The 25th would be great and it will be even greater to see all of you guys again, not to mention I owe Miss D a couple of beers for the great job she did on cleaning up this Forum. Keep posted and see y'all there!

If you want to change venues, there's a place in Libis that might be ok. I asked my friend who's related to the owner, she said they have rooms that we can reserve, and the food is ok, prices are affordable. If you want to move it there, just let me know, and I'll tell her to reserve for us

Ghostrider, I made a reservation at that place I suggested - Saturday, 8pm. I think we just have to make sure that at least one of us is there by 8 so that they don't give the room to another group. Baka kasi maraming tao since it's a Saturday. I'll try to be there early. Is Sonic Death Monkey still in charge of sending out invites?

While I don't want us to be accused of discrimination, let me just point out that with them around we'll probably forget to drink to the healths of the Eagles of the past 14 years again. (Which, of course, is a good excuse to get together a third time...)

Well, I don't think they'd be too happy once they see Maverick's old "If you can't go to college..." t-shirt.
