Ford, it was a joy watching you steal the show during the first round game against UST. You were in your element, rebounding like mad, converting every single shot, burning the free-throw area, even making a shot with your back facing the basket. I can still remember how hoarse I was from cheering for you. Beside me, Bugoy, Mrs. Bugoy and Eagle_Eyes were also cheering rabidly for you. (Eagle_Eyes, in fact, declared that he'd name our youngest son after you. ) Man, you have "arrived"

Ford, masakit talaga pag na injure ang isang athlete. hindi lang masakit in the physical sense but also sa emotional side. siguro right now, hindi ka pa makapag-tingin for the future. siguro all you can think of right now is bakit nangyari ito sa akin? at ngayon pa na umpisa na ng 2nd round. all of these thought are natural and normal to have. hindi talaga maiwasan magtanong.

rest assure Ford, you have all the prayers & support of the whole ateneo community in sickness & in health. sa tingin mo ano kaya ang meaning or kahulugan sa nangyayari para sa iyo? kahit na injure ka for this season, ano kaya sa isip mo ang pwede mong magawa na tulong para sa team. alam ko mayron kang magawa in one way or the other.

Whenever someone mentions Ford, one of the things I automatically think about is his smile. One of my first memories of Ford had to do with that huge grin he had on his face when he blocked Joseph Yeo's shot attempt during the 2003 Final 4 series against DLSU. And I always saw that smile on Ford whenever Ateneo was leading during halftime, and whenever the team won the game. There was so much joy and good nature in that smile.

It makes me sad to hear that he doesn't seem to be smiling anymore.

Hang in there, Ford, and get well soon. We're all waiting to cheer for you next season.

latest update: ford arao has just undergone a successful ACL procedure performed by dr. george canlas. later in the day he will check out of the hospital and convalesce at his own home.

Wala ba tayong steak party diyan para kay Ford?

Ford, Arao-Arao mong suotin yang ngiti mo, at tiyak nag paggaling mo ay lilipas din, mas mabilis pa sa alas-4.

Syempre meron, JoeS, hintayin lang natin na mag-convalesce (hayup ka Tito Cubao, papahirapan mo na naman ang mga DLRT lurkers dito kung ano'ng ibig sabihin nitong hinayupak na salita na 'to! ) ng ilang araw si Peborit. Pakihanda na rin ang ilang balut para may pampalakas ng tuhod ... si Tito Cubao.

Legal, kapag may tumigas pa kay Cubao hindi na makakalakad ng derecho 'yon. Ngayon na nga lang medyo sakang ang lakad napansin mo? Tsaka sa edad ni Cubao baka hindi na magising 'yon kapag pinakain natin ng balot.
