The Ateneo's 6th Man is very much alive... not only when it matters...
not only a bunch of supporters seated in lowerbox or upper A,we're the whole of the Ateneo gallery... from Patron to Gen Ad!!!Now, this is what I call spirit... no need for signing up for tickets... no need for us to be required to buy and wear a uniform shirt... no need!
In the Patron area last Saturday, it was great seeing the senior alumni cheering, yelling, heckling the refs... This for me is heart. Imagine that these guys could have just opted to sit and relax, like some elites in the other so-called traditon based schools. But no. They were up and were further strengthening the fort of the Ateneo's 6th Man!!!
No need for any shirt... no need for those chains to reserve seats in Upper A... no need... no need for us to disrupt the Babble... no need to recruit... no need!
Only for the Love of the Ateneo!!!.
Enough said. How sweet is!!!

the difference here is that the gang green concept is obviously a contrivance, ka-ching, ka-ching! generational splits were exposed when certain members patently ignored their cheer sequence being barked by their cheerleaders and insisted on their own old-school cheers. kawawa naman yung mga bagong lasalista who wanted to soak in the school spirit only to be met by condescension by the oldies.

ang matindi, hindi na nga required bumili ng 6th man shirt, pero nakakahanap pa rin ang mga atenista.

Ah yes. I remember reading a similar thread started by Eagle_Eyes last year, as a response to the people who were starting to question Ateneo's Sixth Man. While that writeup gave me goosebumps (in a good way, of course), this thread made me smile and go, "Yeah!"

The Sixth Man bared its teeth (not yet its full, deadly, opponent-crushing form) yesterday as it drowned out the screams of the UE gallery.
We also pronounced our cheers and yells properly.

Talking about shirts, saw on tv yesterday, feu has joined the shirt bandwagon along with DLSU (Gang GReen), ADU (Add You)...
