I just want to ask if anyone knows an alternative resort to Punta Fuego (ie same quality, facilities, etc.) which can be reached similarly by passing through Tagaytay. Preferably a place that's open for non-member reservations.
We were planning to go to Punta Fuego this December with friends but for some reason, the sponsoring member said he couldn't endorse us. We preferred Fuego because of its first-rate accomodations, facilities and nice views of the beach (excellent for picture-taking). We also liked it because Tagaytay was along the way.
Somebody suggested La Luz but the problem was we wouldn't be able to pass through Tagaytay to get there.
If anyone knows of a place that's almost as good as Fuego, can be travelled via Tagaytay and is willing to accept reservations from non-members without an endorsement, pls. feel free to share the info.
Thanks.

If you don't necessarily have to be in the beach, why don't you try The Farm in Lipa, Batangas?
Try to do a Google search so you'll have an idea.
Personally, I find that resort classy and exclusive and you don't have to be a member to enjoy. But be prepared to spend about US$100-120 per person for an overnight stay w/ food & a 2hr spa package.
Good luck!

rab,
I have been to La Luz and believe me, it's worth the trip. You'll need to spend at least 2 nights para sulit. The resort next door, Blue Coral, is a little more high-brow and I think it should be comparable to Punta Fuego.
Good luck.
