To those in NYC interested in attending, please send me a PM with your name and e-mail address.

On April 23, Wednesday, the International Political Economy Department (IPED) department is sponsoring a lunch (Filipino food!) get-together at 12 noon to be followed by a talk by Father Ben Nebres, president of the Ateneo de Manila University, on "Current Events in the Philippines" at 1 PM. Unfortunately, Wednesday is a work day for most of us but I do encourage those who can, to take an extended "lunch break" to visit the Fordham Rosehill campus in the Bronx and attend this event.

I'd appreciate greately your writing to let me know if you will be able to make it to this event. I'm also kindly requesting that you extend this invitation to other Filipinos and friends who would be interested in joining us (again, please just let me know if you've invited other people so we know how many to expect). The exact venue for the lunch and talk is not yet confirmed but I will write again to let you know about it as soon
as I can.

Thank you very much and looking forward to seeing you all soon.
