Which layout and design do you prefer? This one or the previous one? Comments pls =)

to tell you the truth, i can't remember the old site design..

this one kicks ass. content/design wise.

definitely liked this one better ... halatang pinag-isipan. the first design was all yabang but with no structure and direction, magulo, halo-halo. with this one, you can easily go where you want to go ... and there are a lot of places to go. kulang nga lang sa content, but we'll get there. basta maayos ang plano, gaganda pa 'to lalo!

i prefer this design over the previous one. mas mukhang pang-atenista 'to - malinis, maayos, may sense. mas marami ring provisions for more interesting topic and content. keep up the good work pipol!

The new design and layout is great, especially this Messageboard feature, but when will the High School section be up?!?

Just a Q: What's being done to make sure people know about this site? Are there posters around or something like that--like banner links from sites,like DWTL, where other Ateneans are known to frequent?

i really like the site, pero i have no idea what it looked like before so i can't say if it did improve. anyway, some links aren't up yet. i can't wait till all of the links are fully functional...

This is my first time to post anything on this site. I remember the old site. It did not have a messageboard, so this one is outrightly better. Besides, I like the organization of this site. It covers more topics. I just hope the content is given more fiber. Mukhang kulang pa especially with regard to the non-college topics. At any rate, congrats. This is the best Ateneo site I have seen and is better than other school-related sites.

There was a lot of improvement since the Atenista.net website came into existence. There's a little bit more exposure to the other units of the university, unlike some other website claiming to be so interactive and yet it seems they don't have plans of putting content for the atenean (grade school, high school, college, graduate school and the alumni).


It's a good start on the improvement of the site. I know there are more good things to come.

my cousin recently visited atenista.net and recognized the logo. we are not accusing anybody of anything, it's just that he remembers designing a logo similar to the one used in this site for the deans awards for excellence yata. he was a member of the manila junior jaycees in admu (w/c was trying to get a coa accreditation at that time) and he remembers being one of the organizers of the said event. he is not claiming copyright or whatever, he is actually pleased. i hope somebody could clear this up for us. btw, my cousin graduated in 1997 yata with a degree in MEco.

Thanks for your interest, riajose. Somebody else had also mentioned that the dean's award's logo employs a brushstroke technique too, but I have seen it and the designs are clearly distinct. I actually thought the dean's award's logo looked more similar to the brushstroke of the Miss Saigon logo rather then Atenista.Net's, although the brushstroke of both dean's awards and Atenista.Net is supposed to resemble an eagle.

I like this layout. It's neat, organized and easy on the eyes. And it's BLUE! Pang Atenista talaga. Great job.

i like the layout, but the articles are kinda old...

yeah, please change the articles... parang walang nangyayari sa ateneo. yung mga stuff sa main page are old, very old.

for example, the one in the high school corner with Pugad and Mikael Navaro, is already one year old. mag-ga-graduate na si mikael sa sunday (march 24, 2002), but it seems he will be stuck in the high school releasing his Pugad booklets. (i know, im a friend of his, hehe).

sana may regular na pagpapalit-palit ng mga articles. hindi na ba kayo nasasawa sa Charlie's Angels and the face of sir apo hiking society?

Also, it would be good if a webby checks the site at least once a week to see if any mohos have sprouted and like linked nasty pictures or dissed everybody, so that they can banish their keisters offa the site.

The layout and design are ok, but could be better. Might be interesting to put some photos, you know, like St. Ignatius, or the Ateneo logo, or the Ateneo-50-years-ago (Loyola is celebrating its 50th year this year), or the Ateneo-of-today. Tipong the evolution of the Ateneo. Then there's Rockwell, and whatever happened to the old Grad School building along De la Costa.

i hav a request though, can the site host websites for alumni also. www.iateneo.com hosted websites before but they stopped already. maybe atenista.net might consider hosting for ateneans. it will surely bring more hits. :cool:

btw, sum1 mentioned bringing back the flash intro. wag na lng kse wen u log on parati the flash intro loses its... "umph".

I'd expect version 3 to be kick-ass. I mean, we've been waiting for over a year for it.

And by the way, we seem to have been left behind by Peyups, Greenarcher, and newbie USTexchange in terms of layout and design.

nice layout! i haven't seen the 'old look' pero i believe this one's nice na. and it's very blue...really ATENEAN! though i must say, the content is a bit immature...depth lacking...

astig lay-out and dsyn, but there was one feature i coul not find anywhere -- Ateneo wallpapers?! can't we have any (lalo na ngyng UAAP seazn)?

I've seen the greenarchers.net, ustexchange, and UP's I could say this is the best! It's less complicated and i find people here more intellectual than the rest. I feel more at home here. And people can get freely intimate which is great. Ateneans talk about deeper stuff.

The design is exceptional in my opinion. Simple yet eye-catching.

Simple lang siya. Not much frills.

But, as Sophist said... still eye-catching. Di siya masakit sa mata.

Just a question though... do you plan on adding avatars for Atenista.net forum members? Or is it going to hog some webspace?

I really love the design of the atenista.net as well as the color. Hindi siya masakit sa mata. I've seen the forums of other schools and all I can say is this is the best! Well- organized and very pleasing to look at. Hindi pa nakakalitong tingnan ang mga threads. Another thing: The people and the things they say as well as the post make sense a lot. They rarely talk about frivolous matters.
