i like the new uniform of the blue eagles.

The classic 2002 championship jersey would be my pick. Although the current uniform could've been much nicer if they never had those three diagonal lines on the shoulders.

For me, my favorite design would be the ones worn by the 2001 team.

The design was very simple yet the Rockwell-Bold-all-caps font somehow communicated a sense of toughness .....which was lost when the font shifted to Roman.

Too bad this 2001 design would forever be associated with our losing effort against DLSU during that season.

i agree. i like that one better than the 2002 version.

regarding the "[association] with our losing effort", if i remember correctly, we lost in the finals with the team wearing retro jerseys.

I think the basketball team's current uniform is supposed to resemble the cutoff sweatshirts used by athletes as practice clothes. The diagonal lines certainly look like the seams that attach a sweatshirt's sleeves to the garment's body.

(And of course you cannot cut along those seams because the resulting garment will look like a halter top.)

I like the previous years jearseys. As if the uniform of the Eagles yesterday were bought straight from an adidas store.

Kamtootinkopwit, maganda naman yung uniforms. Meron siyang international flavor. (parang FIBA kit ng greece or france)

Hindi pa lang siguro tayo sanay. Give it time (and a few wins) and i'm sure the uniform will look ok.

I think the retro jerseys were worn only for the first game, to honor the last Ateneo championship squad, and I guess to celebrate being back at the Big Dance.

i liked our uniform during the mid-90's. simple lang all blue/white with ATENEO printed in big bold letters. that design was classic and full of pride even though our teams lost a lot of games back then

The shoulder straps (if they can still be called that) on those jerseys are so wide that Ford's full name, jersey number and date of birth can fit on the tape that the boys wear in his honor
