I was just wondering how does a sport become part of the UAAP?

Does anyone know the processes or steps?

Thanks.

Can you muster enough lifters from the different schools who may represent themselves in powerlifting? In my time, we were only competing amongst the nationals and from the different gyms in the country which practice powerlifting. In ADMU there was only one doing powerlifting but in UP there were a lot. UST had some lifters but working out in private gyms. So the question of acceptability is the number of schools who can send a competetive team for powerlifting.

My two cents worth.

By the way in my peak I can do 300 lbs bench, 490 lbs squat and 510 lbs deadlift at 185 lbs bodyweight.

by the way, the professor was a very good basketball player who had mad hops because of his explosiveness as a result of powerlifting, even back in high school.
