Welcome to Atenista.Net! > Current Issues > National Issues

I know most alumni (especially those in the economic/banking/finance sectors) are familiar with the name. He was an Atenean and used to be Urban Bank's president sometime in the 90s.

He committed suicide in the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina, leaving his wife and several Atenean children behind.

Let us just pray for Mr. Borlongan's soul and offer our condolences to his family to be strong in this dark hour.

Have just been to his wake. the family really needs all the moral support and prayers that they can get-lalo na the kids. Let us all please pray Ted and for them.

His wife told us that Ted even prepared the clothes for his wake-his barong, pants, belt, suspenders-even his handkerchief! Borlongan way (super organized!) to the end talaga.

my deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the late ted borlongan not only for his demise, but also for the way the thread starter broke the news with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer blow to the head.

i hope meadowsoprano would learn to exercise tact and reticence in posting such sensitive matters from hereon.

Er, I apologize if i offended you and everyone else for that matter. I should have posted Former Urban Bank President commits suicide as the title as to lessen the 'impact'. Thanks for pointing it out, Cubao.

I personally know someone who commited suicide so I guess I am already desensitized and jaded when it comes to such things. But that is no excuse, I know.

Again my sincerest apologies and condolences.

im not judging or anything, but i hope ppl will fight to the end. if he felt alone, his family was there. besides, it was only work. if he felt he was wronged and justice wasnt on his side, he could just moved on to other businesses. work is only work. there are many ways to earn a living. and family is more important than work.

i guess he was a rare breed...ppl of the yesteryears where honor and code were impt. any similarity to the jaime ongin case?

His son was our batchmate.
