Any fans of the Hardy Boys here?

No, I'm not referring to Team X-treme of Vince McMahon's WWE, but Frank and Joe Hardy who solved mysteries with their buddy Chet Morton.

My fave stories were:
The Mystery of the Aztec Warrior
The Secret Agent of Flight 101
The Sinister Signpost
The Tower Treasure

Have a complete collection that has stood the test of time.

Did you ever like that TV series with Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy? Hey, I loved the show as only a kid can. Wonder if they have the DVD collection of that somewheres....

Man, I loved the Hardy Boys. My bro and I have a near-complete set of the hard-bound ones, with the amazing covers on each one. Story-wise, they were all great. Amazing reads for young minds. I remember when i was still in Prep, having the book in one hand, and a dictionary in the other to look up the unfamiliar words.

The cover art, in my opinion, were very well-made for their time. I like the covers of The Witchmaster's Key and Mystery of the Whale Tattoo.

Remember who Spike Marlin is?

And there were some storylines where Chet and Biff would join in on the action (Chet's the pudgy one, Biff's the tall guy, best friends of the Hardys).

I kept thinking then that it would've been cool to be in the Hardy Boys' shoes - your dad is a detective, you drive a convertible, your girlfriend (or steady date) is described to be gorgeous, your mom always cooks up a storm, and you get to play with spy gadgets (and get into fistfights).

I grew up with the Hardy Boys too... I loved them... still do. Chet was my favorite character. For some odd reason he reminds me of Jughead.

daming hardy boys books sa accelerated reading center namin. pero, 2 stories pa lang ang nabasa ko. the yellow feather mystery, i forgot the other one. hindi ko natripang magbasa after nun kasi di ko masyado nasundan ang story. mas nadadalian akong basahin yung nancy drew books kaya i've already read 30+ stories. pero baka pilitin ko na ring basahin pag nahapit ako sa points. smile.gif
