Today our PSBL team will play vs san beda for the championship of the PSBL tournament at brent (within dep ed compound beside ultra) at 11:45 am. ateneo also in the finals mini psbl at 9:15 am. i understand the blue babble battalion of GS and HS will be there.

we missed the blue babble b last week vs La Salle but in spite of their cheering squad, ateneo prevailed over la salle.

san beda has yambao as its star player - a behemoth for the Gr 7 first year HS age group. ateneo has dumrique, pepito from davao, ice reyes, gamboa, enriquez, enverga, biboy reyes, arneli aportadera, among others

it will be an exciting game, during the regular season, san beda edged out ateneo by two points. game tied the last ten seconds or so, our ball, and san beda forced a turn over and scored in the last few seconds.

Ateneo Mini PSBL and Ateneo PSBL won their respective championships yesterday.

Ateneo PSBL coached by Joe Silva and assisted by Ron Camara, was able to neutralize the main weapon of san Beda, fronting him all the time. The double teaming exhausted san beda's behemoth yambao as he had to work extra hard for all his points so much so that by the end of the first quarter he was walking down court. San beda never adjusted. Ateneo dominated the game that at one point they led by as much as 23 points,

With 53 seconds to go and ateneo leading by 13, coach joe subbed his second team. San Beda pressed and pressured ateneo into a series of turnovers that they converted. with 32 seconds to go, the lead was down to 7 and coach joe was forced to bring back his first team..

ateneo still had problem inbounding. with nine seconds to go, san beda was just down by 4 pts, ateneo ball. still ateneo was not able to execute its inbounding and san beda scored again, now just down by two with two seconds to go.

finally ateneo was able to inbound properly and won the championship by two points.

the blue babble battalion was out in force yesterday, both the grade school and high school blue babble battalion.
