moogles: i liked the moogles of ffix more than of ffvii. although the cult of toysaurus would kill me for even saying that. mwahaha.

actually, it's true. aeris was initially attracted to cloud because she recognized the zack characteristics that cloud was subconsciously displaying. it was only after the lifestream sequence in mideel with tifa that we finally get to see who the real cloud was. there was a line aeris said that referred to zack while she was musing about cloud in the game. ^^

tetsuya nomura, the character designer of ffvii, ffviii and ffix (i think), has a particular liking for brunettes with longish hair and slightly slanty eyes and pretty smiles. when he was first applying for a job at squaresoft, they teased him because his portfolio consisted of different women who all had that same formula. ^^ rinoa and i think garnet (altho i'm not sure) are modelled after tifa, tetsuya nomura's first squaresoft heroine.

supposedly, nomura had them kill off aeris because he felt she wasn't a strong enough character (in terms of complexities and depth, not physical ) to work with in the storyline. ^^ ewan ko kung totoo. you learn all sorts of stuff in the ac forums.

FFx-2, the worst ff ever! Anong ginawa nila kay Yuna dun! Nakakainis! It's too girly and iba yung storyline sa sinabi nila. Yuna's aim dapat was to look for Tidus pero anong ginawa nila, puro side missions. Deng talaga. Sana lang yung Dirge of Cerberus maayos nman.

When will this debate end lol. well, rinoa couldnt work hard to be physically strong because her Dad confined her into their mansion almost all the time (kita nman e dba). Ganun nman talaga pag anak ng general tapos babae. Wala kang choice kundi sundin tatay mo cos your life's always at stake kaya dpat tago ka parati. Pero atleast, she rebelled against her father at the age of 17 and started building her own group, and successful sya dun (timber owls). Emotionally, she is strong too. Maybe she's a little scared because she is to become a sorceress, but still, nilabanan parin nya yung takot niya. Quistis, on the other hand, has been training to become a seed at a very young age dahil bata palang sila dinala na sila sa Balamb. Kung kasama nila si Rinoa nung time na yun, im sure kasing lakas din nila siya, diba? So para sakin, i like Rinoa for what/who she is. What's important is the person's inside. Not the looks or physical strength. Besides, Rinoa is the best healer, and her limit breaks are one of the best and most useful (invincible moon, wishing star). Di pwedeng wala sya sa party mo pag kakalabanin mo na ung toughest bosses. And yes, I agree with you. QUistis is a biatch. Fits her perfectly.

i definitely disagree with u, akira. pakiramdam lang nman kse ni quistis nag iisa sha pero kitang kita nman na hindi ganun ung case. a lot of people care for her. sa balamb pa nga lang nag uumapaw na fans nya. ang di lang nman pumapansin sa kanya si squall e. besides, talagang may panget na ugali na siya ever since she was a kid, yung pagiging bossy. di ba nung asa orphanage palang sila, nung flashback, pinakita na bossy sya? may isa pa nga sa characters na mismong nagsabi nun e nung pinag usapan nila yung childhood nila. academically speaking, she may be intelligent, pero pag dating sa attitude, how she treats other people, i consider her dumb. i admire rinoa because even if quistis has insulted her (at hindi lang isang beses un, take note). quiet lang siya at di nya pinatulan si quistis, w/c makes her more mature than her sa case na yun.

As for Rinoa, i dont think she's a spoiled brat. what is ur proof? a brat for me is yung 'dad i want this, dad i want that.' hindi nman siya ganun e. and just because the owls treat her with utmost care and like a princess, doesnt mean that she's a brat. and she rebelled not because her dad didnt grant her wishes. it's because she didnt like her father and galbadia's beliefs! naaalala mo pa ba yun? kaya nga she formed the timber owls and seeked the help of headmaster cid dba? if she did that for her own benefit, papayag ba ang balamb? i dont think so. so Rinoa's not a brat at all. no way. she may be childish and a scaredy cat at times, but she's never a brat. and as the game progressed, kitang kita nman changes e. nag improve siya. enough of this already, wlan din tong pupuntahan. bsta para sakin, quistis is a lame character. un na yun.

Akira: I disagree. Sure, Rinoa might be "cute", as you say it, but she definitely is dumb. Even if she isn't blonde. I don't mean to be a bad person to the blondes anywhere, but being blonde will project that you are bubbly, childish, *beep*, dumb, and an ultimate brat. Rinoa isn't blonde, true. Her hair color usually projects dark, evil things, but is she evil? Nope. Hair color usually doesn't have to do with anything. I just think she's simply dumb. No other reason.

She is predictable. Rinoa is an overused charcter with a new name (probably even an overused name, but I haven't seen it anywhere else). Anyway, all the characters in FF are overused, and have a past as clear as the present itself. I think it's stupid to think that they are all different. They are practically the same old, overused thing.

From FF serveys I've seen, Rinoa is the most beloved character among all FF games. I can't agree instantly. Sure, she has a tender love story, sure she's "cute", sure she has the man, but does that mean she's best of all? Quistis, I'd actually admit, is a better character than her. She's a bit more different, and she does have SLIGHTLY, a unique-er story than Rinoa's. Rinoa doesn't deserve to be the most 'beloved' character. Didn't Yuna get the man (eventually)? Didn't anyone else get the man? Didn't Garnet look cute? Didn't anyone else look cute? Didn't other people have those tragic pasts that involve their ability to do magic like any one else in the game? Didn't everyone else have a tender love story? THEY'RE ALL THE SAME.

Rinoa shouldn't be the beloved one. No one should, as they are all the same. Same BASIC story-line, same BASIC idea of characters, same everything else. I disagree with any female favoring that shall therefore happen.

Yep! Even though he still hasn't completely gone over her, Cloud, as we all know it, will be fine. Aeris and Sephiroth aren't bad. Not my favorite, but agreeable at some point.

Okey siya, in fairness. Hindi yung sobrang epiko na ala FF7, at hindi rin kagandahan ang plot, pero kung gusto mo lang ng fight scenes, magandang character design, at kilig scenes para sa CloTi/Cleris, dami meron naman.

Truth to be told, for me, the movie lacked depth. It was more of a side-story for me than a sequel... But I guess I couldn't ask for more because it would only complicate things. So yeah, it's forgivable. Besides, there's only so much that a movie can handle, compared to a 3-disc RPG.

But on the lighter side of things, it was cool seeing the Party again after a few years. Loved the fight scenes.

Anyone know where I can get the "Victory Ringtone?" Haha.

Kewl movie. This one will last for ages because it brings the Animated Movie scene to a new level. The cinematography is just awesome, the producers have taken advantage of the manipulative camera angles and stuff.

I loved it. It brings back the good ol' days.
