If you want your kids to be better prepared to tackle life and to excel, then have them study somewhere else.

Maybe it is not the fault of the archers for saying things like, kailangan naming confident or gorpren. They probably learned all of it from their coach.
Does anyone remember the Shakeys Pizza ad in the mid 80's where their coach said:
"Go to Shekees and win a special pecha prize"

The question he was asking was, who are the current champions of the UAAP mens basketball tournament for season 67?
Who beat you guys 3 in a row?
Sino yung tumambak sa inyo 3 in a row?
And who eliminated you from this season?
Which team is that again?
I think that was what he was asking.
Answers? Anyone?
You've got to be BLIND, or incredibly dense, not to see why green day's post was hilarious. Then again, you're from the green side too, so I'm really not surprised that you're just looking the other way.

Cara Subijano: (obviously ecstatic over DLSU's win) Thanks Sev! So Jun, how do you feel (or something like that) What do you think was the key factor for your win today?
Jun Limpot: Yung intensity namin siguro. Tinaas namin yung intensity namin. intesity siguro....
Cara S.: So going into the second half, what made you come back (or something).......?
Jun Limpot: Basta tinaasan namin yung intesity namin, kasi dapat i-sustain yung intesity namin! Basta mataas yung intesity namin!
Cara S: Thaks Jun and congratulations! Back to you Sev and_____!

Is it possible to know if the DLSU players really graduate from college? I heard that there have been cases where DLSU players who have moved on to the PBA still continue (with much difficulty!) their studies in a DLSU branch or supervised school.

I'm a proud alumni from DLSU, but admittedly, I do feel disappointed about our basketball program.
It's true that if it's in terms of basketball alone, our school is indeed very good. Too good for the players' own good ironically. They feel the strain of trying to balance academics with their demanding sports program and ultimately have to make a choice to sacrifice either earning a degree that one can be proud of or a shot at being a pro player.
That is indeed one flaw I'm seeing. But hey, unless you're really determined to play in the PBA, you just gotta take the risk and play the cards you're dealt with.
But please don't generalize our players' poor intellectual showing as a reflection of all La Sallians striving to earn decent degrees not involving translation studies or sports management.

Even you smart folks there in Katipunan have to acknowledge that there are plenty La Sallians who are doing fine in the corporate setting the way we acknowledge that a lot of Ateneans thrive in the entrepreneur ventures...

Megadeath,
Welcome to atenista.net.
I was wondering if you could give us a brief description about your school's Translation Studies course.
I'm sure you could describe this course better than Cardona, Yeo or even Coach Franz. They were apparently, pardon the pun, lost in translation during their interview session with Cito Beltran.

Honestly, i never bothered knowing about that course back in college. What i'm sure of is it's on of those liberal arts courses for the... ehem... mathematically challenged people.
in case you're wondering, i graduated from an IE (industrial engineering) course. i think that's equivalent to your management engineering?

yea. ie ako... ID 98. we might have met before at some point.
ADMU's OR is really intense. in fact, i joined some ateneans in a review group for OR before just to become better in OR.
you're right though that their approach is more on business. their forte in OR is equivalent to our Production Management
