Put half of it in a no-risk time deposit, making sure to ask for a good rate, like say 20% net for 6 months. Put the other half into an investment portfolio, professionally managed of course. Leave both to gain the appropriate interest over a period of 12 months.

Then I'd live off the interest earnings the rest of my life, maybe with a simple house somewhere in Subic or Lipa, anyplace near the sea, s'long as there ain't much pollution and congestion. Get a nice mid-size SUV like a Land Rover Discovery for my transport needs. Remodel and renovate the old family home for my mother who refuses to live anywhere else.

Support the Tulong Dunong program of the High School and Mother Theresa's two halfway houses with half whatever interest earnings I make.

Start a few small businesses like my own small chain of money changers, computer rental shops and seedy videoke joints (you'd be AMAZED how easy it is to make these things succeed). Once these make good, set up my own publication, like a local Atlantic Monthly or New Yorker or Harper's Bazaar.

Put out contracts on all my enemies. wink.gif

Oh, and retain the services of the Law Offices of Giant, Ghostrider, Maverick and Cackler. biggrin.gif

obLiVioUs_gurl

i guess i wouldn't have an elaborate answer for that until three days later, because on the first day i get my million dollars, i would faint, and then acquire fever, and i'll be too spaced out to be somber and i'll just blab on and go crazy and be really shocked and oh-shoobidy i wouldn't know what i'll do and then i would try to think of something but then my brain would just get so freaked out as freaked out as i would be and then there would be information overload because man all i need is five hundred thousand pesos to pay all the debts of my family and for us to start with zero balance and a millionpesos is huge enough and it can change our lvies and a million dollars is just a frigging lot of money and i really wouldn't know yet what i would do 'cause i would need three days to plan where to put the money in and then i would try to think of all the little and big things i wanted to buy since i was two years old when i could already think and was aware of what was happening and then i would list down all the things i wanted to buy and i would buy them all and some of them wouldn't be in the market na so i would have to think of other things i wanted to buy and then myparentswouldbereallyhappybecausethentheywouldn'thavetoworkintheofficeanymoreandtheycouldjustrelaxathomeandmaybeiwouldtravel
