i'm currently in my first year as an MS IT stud. but i think i'm not cut out for this IT thing. programming doesn't really interest me.
i've thought about going to either philo or lit before (AB is my undergrad degree). but i chose IT 'coz it is the practical choice. so far, it (or IT) doesn't bring out the best in me; it's even a bit opposite my inclinations and interest.
how would i know what master's course is for me? what are the tell-tale signs or criteria? i'm thinking between philo and lit.
help!!! i'm totally confused.
p.s. i would appreciate it more if you PM or e-mail me. thanks

Are you taking it in Ateneo? Doesn't the program there last for just a year and a half? Why don't you try hacking it out until you're done?

Well, choose the masteral course that you have an aptitude in. Don't choose a course just for convenience. You must enjoy what you are studying. And furthermore, discern which one will bring out the best in you, one that will maximize all your God given talents.
May you find what you seek. God bless!

Maybe you're not really cut out for grad school just yet. Why not concentrate on your career of the moment? Maybe you might even find out you don't actually need your MA after all right now. What'd you like about Philo and English Lit? Maybe what you liked about them is actually more on the non-career side, you know, more as some kind of self-enriching thing on the intellectual side rather than something you wanna do for a living. I'd take a small step back on the grad school if you're getting doubts at the moment as to whether it's for you or not. I took such a break from my own grad studies in Public Admin because it seems like I don't really need the whole degree but just specific courses to help in my work. I might go back to it but I'm giving myself until next school year to figure it our. I still have two semesters of work to go so I wanna take the time to really see if it's something I really need to do.
