suggestion:
Mr. Halili, how about adding "7 nation army" to the babble band's repertoire next year?

(bagay pa, we're going against 7nations/schools in the uaap, funny coincidence actually)
we've been doing gary glitter's rock and roll part 2- aka the "hey" song - during timeouts, why not the white stripes?
i still get chills up my spine whenever i watch the italian football fans go crazy with 7 nation. we could turn this into an ateneo classic, what do you say?

May nanuod ba ng Cheerdance Competition kahapon?
Ateneo placed 4th (again). Kudos, because the squad has improved a lot. Hopefully, we'll be able to crack the top 3 next year.

I watched it live last Sunday at Araneta. If mapapansin mo, sobrang konti ng ateneo crowd. Final score:
1. UP Pep Squad - 92.66
2. UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe - 92.16
3. FEU Cheering Squad - 91.66
4. Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion - 90.63
5. Adamson Pep Squad - 90.62
6. UE Pep Squad - 90.55
7. DLSU Pep Squad - 84.23
Galing! Some people were expecting na 3rd place dapat tayo. But oh well. Goodluck to BBB next year. IMHO, Magaling and flawless yung routine but we still lack something pa...

I think ang kulang sa atin is Gymnastics skills.
BBB has some of the best female gymnasts, but none of our guys can tumble. Suggestion ko is they spend the entire summer just working out in the gym, doing leg presses and squats. If you have strong legs, madali na lang matuto ng tumbling. You can teach someone who has strong legs and good control over his body a decent back handpsring/back tuck in about an hour.

my suggestion: don't invest in gymnastics. rather, get choreographers, tall female dancers and strong male lifters. i'm tired of the UP/UST formula: more of a mass gymnastic dance number than real cheering. why not concentrate on formation-visuals, marches, pyramids and lifts? put a military marching band feeling to it. have nice, conservative uniforms rather than some garish extraterrestial theme.

Having watched the pre-season games of our basketball team, there are a couple of things I would like to suggest to the BBB. First, I think our tempo can be FASTER -- as they seem to be quite slow that they tend to drag, and this refers to most if not all the cheers. Increasing the tempo can give our cheers more punch. Originally, our cheers were really faster.
And secondly, whenever we cheer "Get That Ball!", apart from it being slow and limp, perhaps we can do away with the horns playing those three notes (which sounds like Kool and The Gang's Get Down On It) after each phrase.
Nonetheless, you guys of the BBB are doing a fine job. Thanks for being there for the entire Ateneo community.

Here's a little .. Blast from the Past!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLd49KCqlGYWe had two drummers (with whole drum sets) on the side of the court doing the beats .. GAP/GALs style! Retro!
Enjoy the Nostalgia Trip..

Bakit po hindi madalas gamitin ang Artillery Yell?
I think it's the best of all the cheer. It's not the "Target La Salle" part that makes it great but the later parts are just cool...
