some politicians are proposing that SY 2003-2004 should start september. Hindi ba masyadong matagal ang vacation? Boring na ata yun...

it has bin posted in the anything goes forum that this won't hold. tsaka, i disapprove of it, baka bawasan pa ung sembreak o vacation for that matter. tsaka sayang yung walang pasok due to rain..

if classes start in september, the sembreak/vacations will not be lessened. There will be a rotation. The summer break will then be from end of june to the beginning of september. Most probably, this will not push through because if one SY rotates, everything that is connected to the education area will rotate.
But hey! For now, i'm not complaining too!

good point. besides, if that pushes through and summer vacation gets bumped to next june, we're going to have a scorching last term in school.
finals in this heat? ain't worth it.

If worse comes to worst (kung talagang malala na ng SARS), it's just right to move the first day of classes to September.
I mean, you never know where your classmates have been during their vacation.
It's better to be safe than sorry.

Actually, it would be nice naman for us to beuniform with the world; especially if you travel abroad. Summer mo, basically, summer ng ibang bansa.. (like bikinis in LA! Stuff like that.)
Buuuuuut....bad trip talaga to have classes at this time, ask any of the summer school peeps.
Buuuuut again...unless we have something like spring break, then we could enjoy at least a bit of the summer.
Ngyek, undecided.

No. In fact, if they are going to declare that they would postponed the classes this June, it's pretty late. Pano naman yung mga nag-eexpect na next month na talaga yung classes? Eh di naabala pa sila.
The question is, paano na naman next school year? Kakatapos lang ng schoolyear by June, pasukan na naman? Unless gagawin na nilang regular throughout na September talaga like here in the U.S.
