I know there's one (alumni assoc.) here in Southern California, they actually had their reunin last year sa Loyola Marymount. I didn't go, 'coz I just graduated from high school and baka ma-OP ako dahil karamihan ata graduate na ng college. Pero sorry, I don't know who to talk to about joining.

The next major alumni gathering will be in Seattle w/c is approx. 1 hr 45 mins plane ride from Southern Cal.

Been keeping an eye out for the SoCal chapter myself. I know my classmates are around...they just won't come out of their freakin caves for some reason. Good luck with the search. Yes, there is a Southern California alumni association. You may want to contact Winni Chuidian. You can find his contact info below.

Regarding Cerritos, it is a residential suburb located southeast of Los Angeles. It's not too far from Downey. It's a 30-40 minute drive (depending on traffic) from downtown L.A. I've been there twice only. I think you have to take Interstate 5 going south (assuming you're coming from downtown L.A.), then go east either on the San Bernardino or Pomona freeway. I can't remember exactly. You may want to check the map through Yahoo for driving directions.

Some are living in the Los Angeles area and some are at Orange County. I'm from Glendale and I know people who live in Simi Valley, Eagle Rock, Burbank, Sta. Ana, Anaheim, Fullerton, Chino Hills...etc.

meron palang gathering ang mga ateneo alumni dito sa SoCal.. sa feb. 15 yung event. iwan niyo nalang dito o kay jopijay yung email addresses niyo para mapadalhan namen kayo ng flyers. pakisabihan na din yung mga kialla niyong atenista na hindi nakakabrowse ng forums.. kahit yung mga older batches. all batches pala itong tipar.

to the younger batches...if you feel you're too young for us...imagine the first time i met these guys...batch 98 ako...ang pinakabata nila batch 70s ata...and you know what? they're soooo cool and hindi ka talaga ma-OP...

the best part is the connections you will build...i got into a car accident...i got a lawyer instantly that i can trust...i need a job...i got referrals...etc, etc...but the best thing about it is...you'll meet new friends that you can relate to...pare pareho naman tayo ng pinagdaanan sa ateneo...and you won't believe how much they'll make you feel at home...lalo na nakatira tayo sa ibang bansa diba?...so punta na!

Excellent pics. Saw my GS and College professor Dr. Imelda Tioseco, Phd. The New York/New Jersey/Tri-State chapter is having its planning & strategy session/inuman/BBQ this weekend in Mike Ruivivar's house in Jersey City. Any tips and ideas from the West Coast would be greatly appreciated.

Are you part of the AYAC yahoogroup? Jopi Roa et al had a young alumni gathering in SoCal last December. There was also the Ateneo Chamber Singers concert in St. Basil.
