Available na ba ang Sims Unleashed dito?

I heard it's a lot of fun so I really want it! (But first we have to get Hot Date back from my cousin...)
Dearth
How curious. Here I was checking out Unleashed, when lo and behold a thread appears! biggrin.gif

If you mean the original, yes, I think the DataBlitz outlets now carry Sims: Unleashed.

As for me, I'ma salt o' the sea, arrr... biggrin.gif

So, That's five: The Sims, Livin' Large, House Party, Vacation and Unleashed.

What I really need is the ability to slow down time without slowing down the game. Ah, time is so precious. biggrin.gif
5FootCarrot
Wheee! I'd better go to Megamall and see whether the DataBlitz there has it! biggrin.gif I think we bought all our expansion packs from them except for Livin' Large...

Is that game addictive or what? I'm not a gamer at all but I play Sims by the hour. Proud pa ako, I've never used any of the cheats  and yet my families still do pretty well.

if you want to buy a crack game of sims unleased try the cd store at the back of shakeys. It has two cds and it only cost P200!
strike_gold
Good lord! How addicted am I to the Sims? There was a time talaga when I'd play when I got home from school which was around 4 and then I could go on until like 3am! Of course I could only do that if I was starting from scratch, meaning I had to build a new house, create new characters and everything.

But I'm over the addiction now kasi wala nang thrill when I play Sims Vacation, that's why I will NOT buy Sims Unleashed or else the horrible addiction will come back. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
5FootCarrot
C'mon, strike_gold...you know you want to wink.gif Hehe, just playin'.

We can't get the pirated versions of the games sad.gif our PC refuses to read them. Bait no? tongue.gif

You guys are talking about CD Factory no, on the 2nd floor? Yeah, they know me there by face... biggrin.gif

5FootCarrot, does your PC really have anti-piracy software (I heard that some branded PC's have this) or maarte lang talaga yung CD-rom drive ninyo? You could trade-in your drive for a less racist model. biggrin.gif

Oh, but you must play - you can now grow vegetables, play volleyball, and - *gasp* own pets!

Don't you hear the plaintive cries of your Simkids? They want a pet doggy! And a cat! And a pair of budgies! biggrin.gif

Come on - it's only two hundred bucks... biggrin.gif

I didn't read your post. biggrin.gif

But really, you can grow vegetables? I can finally have the garden I've always wanted to have. Imagine the possibilities! Noooo, I will not be sucked in again. No!!!

Oh, you know what I want Sims to come up with, to have the characters age. I'm tired of taking care of kids. All they do is eat snacks from the ref. You can't even get them to go anywhere except go to school or take them on vacation. I want them to grow up, start dating, go to college, and move out of the house! I want to see the characters I devoted so much time to, retire instead of working all the time and never aging. smile.gif (See that's how much I've played Sims)

I have a stupid comment to make, but if I make it, it will show how addicted I was to the Sims. So for now I'll keep quiet and wait patiently for someone else to comment. smile.gif

What's a crack game? I keep seeing that phrase, but I don't know what it means. So I just nod my head and pretend I understand. Like now... *nods*

When games are pirated, the "pirates" have to circumvent the anti-piracy software employed by the game's makers, or else they wouldn't be able to sell it at abominably low prices.

This circumvention is what makes a game "cracked" i.e. they've cracked the code so that you can play it even if it isn't original software.

Usually, the anti-piracy software works two-fold:

A. During installation, the program asks for a serial number, the CD-key, which is usually on the original CD case. Without it, you cannot install the game. In this case, any valid CD-key can be supplied - ex. if you and your friend both have an original copy of the game, you can swap CD-keys and still install the game.

B. After installation, when you start the game, the program checks if the CD-key you wrote down during the installation matches the CD in your hard drive - therefore, in our example, unless you and your friend also swap CD's, you won't be able to play the game.

How do pirates circumvent this?

A. Since any CD-key can work, usually they just give you a CD-key printed on the front insert of the cracked CD. This CD-key may come from: an original game the pirates bought, a original CD-key posted on the internet, or derived using software designed to generate CD-key combinations.

B. This is the crux of the problem and pirates solve this by altering the software of the game so that it doesn't need to check for the validity of the CD inside your drive. They make it such that any CD can work, or that the game can run without any CD inside. Usually, they alter the main executable (.exe) file, and they place it inside a folder aptly named "crack".

So, in layman's terms, this is what you do after buying a cracked game:
1. Install the game.
2. When it asks for the CD-key, just type in the CD-key that's either printed on the CD (write it down before you put it inside!) or on the CD case.
3. After installing, explore the contents of your cracked CD and look for the crack folder.
4. Copy the .exe file inside the folder and paste it into the main directory of the game in your hard drive.
5. When a prompt appears asking you if you want to replace the file, click "Yes."
6. Click the cracked .exe file to play or create a shortcut to your desktop and launch the game from there.

Phew! That was long. biggrin.gif

Do you guys use the naked patch? Your sims willnot have the blurry patch when they shower or use the tub.

My sims are dressed in sexy underwear, sheer lingerie and Fredericks of Hollywood style clothing. You can download at http://www.adultgamereviews.com/nudesims.shtml

Or download a fantastic wardrobe at http://www.welldressedsim.com/

This is so fun when your sims go to the mall naked.

Anyone willing to sell their The Sims game? Is it on CD-Rom ba? I've been wanting to play it for a long time but I'm too cheap to buy a brand new package. Do they sell pirated versions? =) Does it even work?
Dearth
The pirated versions work fine. The game itself though has some bugs on it.

I have also been addicted to that!!! smile.gif But since my pc got broken down and my files were lost, I surely got discouraged because I had a big house and a very good family! smile.gif
Well, I've seen the Unleashed na pero I haven't bought it! Wow, talaga you can grow vegetables in the garden? Have some pets? Wow, that's great! But then again, if I start to buy ANOTHER Sims Edition, I think I won't be able to eat right anymore and I'll be stuck in front of my computer all throughout the day and the night!!! smile.gif Whew! smile.gif

magkano ang sims: unleashed? yung orig ha, not pirated... anong added features? is it better than livin' large?
-iGz-
Teka, sims: unleashed yung two cd's kahit pirated?

gumagana na ba yung pirated or puro bugs? kasi yung first version ng livin large pirated parang cd na puro download lang e. walang added features.

If you want the sims with all the expansion packs: vacation, livin large hot date and house party, just buy the sims collection sa greenhills. It will install everything, including the expansion packs with all the patches and even extra items.

I'd hate to promote piracy but what a deal! all in one cd!
-iGz-
Oo nga pala.

Here's a tip.

If you don't like the music your stereo in sims plays. U can change it. Just go to the music folder and then stations. Simply categorize your songs and copy them into the folder. Load the game, turn up the stereo and voila, you've got stephen speaks playing on the sims' radio.

The music used in the game is in mp3 format kaya pwede yung downloaded songs.

My rap station has snoop dogg!

Sims Unleashed is P995 (at Data Blitz in Megamall). With this expansion pack, you can own pets, grow vegetables to sell, have bigger neighborhoods (15 lots yata per neighborhood), and I'm sure there are new objects, wallpaper, etc. (I bought the game for me and my sibs for Xmas so we haven't opened it yet.) Definitely more extensive than Livin' Large.

The SIMS- cool game. I love it! smile.gif
5FootCarrot
Hey! Tagal ko nang di nagpopost dito...anyhoo, sinong meron nang Sims Superstar? We don't have it yet. I'm wondering what people think of it smile.gif
Divi-Dead
Superstar... haven't played it. The pirate versions out are buggy with some computers, mine included. It has two CDs too.

Your sim can be a superstar (hence the name) or an obsessed fan. In Studio Town, you can meet the likes of Christina Aguilera, Marilyn Monroe and Andy Warhol. Your sim can choose his path to stardom and earn Fame points. It has its pros (Having a butler, saunas, loads of money), and cons (obsessed fans, paparazzis).

I'm a bit frustrated that I can't make this run in my computer. Apparently, it doesn't agree with my Hot Date installation. What's more, the next Sims expansion pack entitled "Makin' Magic", is due at the end of this month. Plus, the next Sims for the consoles (and Gameboy Advance!) entitled "The Sims: Bustin' Out" has already been announced (release date around December).

I so want to play with the TATU girls.... hehe.
[stuck]
Er...

THE SIMS 2 is coming out next year at the earliest... there's a lot of things you can do here that you couldn't before...

there are more facial expressions - more hand interactions (the fingers now move) - the clothes move independently from the body - and the kids finally GROW UP! biggrin.gif

I didn't buy Superstar, and neither will I buy Makin' Magic. I'm saving up for THE SIMS 2 biggrin.gif
Dearth
Hello. biggrin.gif

So, I've got the complete set of expansions. Thing is, Makin' Magic seems to be screwed up. I'll prolly get a new copy of it.

Sims 2! w00t4g3! biggrin.gif
5FootCarrot
I didn't like Superstar. It seemed like you had to do so much work and barely get anything in exchange. I really enjoyed the new building possibilities and furniture, though smile.gif

Anyhoo, at present we've got Makin' Magic and it's a lot more fun that the last EP. Unfortunately, when I tried to cast the Big Question spell, the person I wanted to cast it on caught me and shrank me instead!
melie
hahahahaha i used to play sims.. only played until unleashed.. then i lost interest..

ang pathetic ko.. what id do is make small communities of the people i know.. their birth signs would match.. and the real life boyfriends would court their girlfriends in my sims world.

id also put in the people i hate and make them live miserable lives..

sims 2 seems interesting. smile.gif
gervase
hi guys... what are the differences between the first sims and the latest sims?
5FootCarrot
Hi, gervase; I'm not sure what you mean by "first Sims" and "latest Sims," but the original Sims game has a lot less options than the newer versions. Each expansion pack has new furniture and building options, and allows your Sims to do more things, like go on dates/vacation, become a celebrity and cast magic spells. (I heard Sims 2 allows them to grow older, which means child Sims become adults and adult ones can die.)

Hope that answers your question.
gervase
thanks a lot! biggrin.gif

I can't believe there's a thread here dedicated to SIMS!

hehe self-confessed sims addict here...and i'm also waiting for SIMS 2 to come out. I've seen the preview and it's really cool. It's in 3D and you can move the view at different angles - pretty much like moving a video cam around.

I just don't know how I'll survive school this year... wink.gif
5FootCarrot
I finally got to try out Sims 2 for PS2 a couple of days ago. The graphics are really good and there are a lot more options in creating your Sims - mauubos ang oras mo sa paggawa pa lang ng characters tongue.gif (I don't think you can create kids, though.) Besides their looks, their personalities are more diverse because you get to choose what they want in life ("aspirations"). As they work on achieving their aspirations, they earn points that will enable them to buy better things. (In other words, you don't just have to have the money anymore - yes, more work.)

I'm not sure how the PC version works, but the PS2 controller also gives you more control over the way you view the game. It's harder to use the Grab mode with a PS2 controller, though - or maybe that's just me unsure.gif

Going to see if I can try Sims Bustin' Out (I think this is the version where people grow up, move out of Mom's house and grow old) over the weekend.

Sims! Grabe, sobrang pinagpupuyatan ko to dati...
5FootCarrot
We finally have Sims 2 for PC at home, so I have spent the past couple of weekends getting better acquainted with the game. I'm handier with a mouse than with a PS2 controller, so I find it easier to build and grab on the PC. I like how there are more character, building and furniture options, and the aspirations are fun, too.

I have to admit, however, that I don't really like how the Sims can now grow old. (I also don't like having to make sure that they're physically fit, even though there are now more ways for a Sim to get exercise.) I don't mind the kids growing up, but I don't want my adult characters to age, which is why I'm spending all my Aspiration points on Elixir of Life tongue.gif

My current challenge is getting one of my child Sims into private school. Anyone have any tips on how to impress the Headmaster?
NorthRoute
I hate it too when my Sims age and die. It totally wrecks my families. So I use the cheat. Just hit ctrl+shift+C and key in aging off. You can type 'aging on' to allow your Sims to age normally.
5FootCarrot
North, your cheat sounds fascinating wink.gif Thanks for sharing!

*plans to try it out after getting home and having her Sims guzzle Elixir of Life*
