Are you staying here for good?
Not that Im discouraging you but, with the recent 911 incident and the economic situation here in the States, finding the right job may not be as easy as before. And when I say the right job, what I mean is a job that’s not just related to your major, but a job that you’ll enjoy doing as well. As an advise, I agree with what fellow Ateneans who had the chance to work here in the States wrote in the other forums, try not to be picky when it comes to your initial job. What’s important is that youd be able to create networks and gain local experience. In the end, people or your employer will eventually realize what youre capable of.
As for recruitment agencies, for starters, you might want to check out Kelly Services. They can hook you up with assignments in big name companies. From there you can start building your network and hopefully get in touch with people (in our case, consultants) who are in your line of work. That’s what happened to me anywayz.
